The challenge //

When he made the bold move to leave a big, world-renowned architecture firm and set out on
his own, Format Architects founder, Joe, turned to Folk to bring his new exciting venture to life.

The outcome //

We worked closely with Joe to really understand not only his business, but also the industry
as a whole, and where Format could fit within that landscape. From our learnings we created
Format’s proposition ‘The Art of Building’ which encompasses their design-led and
collaborative approach.

We then used a combination of clean lines and negative space to create an iconic logo that
boasts both simplicity and depth, fitting beautifully with the down-to-earth approach and bespoke
design led solutions that Format offers clients. We can’t wait to see what Format can build from
these solid foundations!
